Statement of Faith

The Bible – I believe the 66 books of the old and new testament to be fully inspired by God, infallible and without error in the original manuscript. It is the supreme and final authority on every matter of truth, by which all matters of the Christian life should be measured. Reading it is a daily essential for every believer. 2 Timothy 3:16-17, 2 Timothy 2:15

The Trinity – I believe in one Holy and eternal God, existing in three unique and infinitely excellent persons. God as the head, the father, is the final authority in the universe. God as the son, eternally begotten, having always existed is one with the Father. God as the Holy Spirit, proceeds from God as fully God and one with God. All three are separate, yet fully God. John 1:1-5, Genesis 1:26

Creation - I believe that God created everything in existence. From him and for him everything has been made. All things have been made with purpose, such purpose that is governed by his Holy will. Genesis 1:1, Colossians 1:16

Fall of Man - God created man morally upright; however, through deceit of Satan, man chose to disobey God and forsake his trust in God’s divine goodness. As the father of all men, Adam’s disobedience led to the enslavement of man to sin and corruption for all of his posterity. This fall led to the just establishment of sickness, death and misery to fallen man. Psalm 51:5, Romans 8:7-8

Christ - At the proper time, God sent his son (fully God) to be born of the virgin Mary through conception by the Holy Spirit. Jesus was both fully God and fully man, without confusion. Jesus lived a perfect and blameless life without sin. His life, fully governed by God to fulfill prophesy, led to his willing death on a cross. Luke 1:26-38, Colossians 2:9

Salvation - I believe that Jesus, being fully God, was the Christ of scripture. His bodily death on the cross and bodily resurrection from the grave, met the righteous judgement of God on the sins of the world and provided eternal salvation to all who trusted in the Lord prior to his death and to all who would trust thereafter. Salvation is by grace alone, through faith alone. Romans 8:29-30, John 3:16-21
